At this event, which took place at Quebec City’s Imperial Theater, the Chamber of Commerce recognized immigrant entrepreneurs and companies that encourage the hiring of immigrant workers in the region.

A total of four awards were presented during the evening:

- Emerging Business Award: for private startup companies (less than five years) headquartered in the greater Quebec City area with a director or founder who is an immigrant
- Immigrant of the World Award: given to an immigrant director or founder
- Business Citizen of the World Award, 30 employees or less: awarded to a business in the greater Quebec City area recognized for its policy on hiring and integrating immigrant staff
- Business Citizen of the World Award, 31 employees or more: presented to a business in the greater Quebec City area known for its policy on hiring and integrating immigrant staff

MOMENTUM TECHNOLOGIES won the Business Citizen of the World Award (31 employees or more) for its excellence in systematically integrating immigrant employees. In fact, 34% of MOMENTUM TECHNOLOGIES staff are immigrants from more than nine different countries. MOMENTUM TECHNOLOGIES hires staff of all nationalities because we are well aware of the contribution this cultural diversity makes to our company.

We would like to thank all our staff at MOMENTUM TECHNOLOGIES for their support—this award belongs to you.”
